Display Options
|
Decision Explorer® has a variety of options which allow you
to control the amount of information displayed. Maps are displayed
in one of four 'views', each of which can be worked on separately.
Views can be scaled to fit a whole map in the window, allowing you
to work with maps easily.
|
Style Editor
|
Concepts (ideas) can be displayed and printed using user-defined
styles in Decision Explorer®. This allows additional meaning
to be conveyed using colour, font and other attributes.
|
Analysis Tools
|
A variety of model analysis commands, which have been developed
over the past ten years, provide a means to explore concepts and
a prompt for discussion. The mapping command, amongst others, can
be configured easily, though the standard settings suit most users.
|
Text Reports
|
As well as the map mode, which allows you to explore the model
and its links, Decision Explorer® allows you to obtain list-reports.
The variety of lists available include: new concepts, concepts with
particular words, sets in use and their contents (see below), links
between concepts, and the results of analysis commands.
|
'Sets' for Analysis
|
Decision Explorer® is more than a display tool - it is designed
for analysis. Sets are one of the unique facilities provided, and
they can be used to mark and organize concepts. Sets can then be
used for further analysis.
As well as a Reference Manual, a variety of guides are provided
to help you learn to use Decision Explorer®. An on-line tutorial
on creating maps, and a User Guide all provide an easy to understand
introduction. Of course, full context-sensitive help is also available.
